DJ Bishop was born and raised on the South side of Chicago. He is known by his friends and peers as “the man with the crispest beard.” For him, fashion and music are his lifestyle.

 

At the tender age of 10 DJ Bishop was motivated by his musical relatives to embrace his own love for music. He exhibited this passion when he started playing drums at 10 years old. This experience sparked his interest into music production and led to his career as a DJ. DJ Bishop has learned from top DJs around the world, including his favorite DJ, Puffy.

 

DJ Bishop is fully mobile with his set of equipment and lighting, which enables him to meet all his Client’s music needs. DJ Bishop plays a variety of genres including: Gospel, Hip Hop Rap, R&B, Pop, House, and Old School jams. He extrapolates and blends together the music he loves best through beautiful synth work, ethereal backdrops, brooding bass-lines, and occasional vocal hooks — he envelops this sound by placing it all on top of a pronounced foot-shuffling house beat.

 

DJ Bishop is a very active member of his community. From volunteer gigs at local businesses to shopping locally for equipment, DJ Bishop is a strong proponent of supporting his community. His event repertoire includes: weddings, bars/clubs, birthdays, block club parties, and as a personal DJ for many Chicago artist. DJ Bishop’s love for music goes beyond the spectrum of mixing tunes. Not only is he a producer, drummer, and promoter, he also loves hosting events.
